8GB USB Flash drive turned into a 250MB one? Help!

Recommended Posts

So I thought I would take a weekend and try out Chrome OS booted from a USB flash drive, in my case a 8GB Sandisk Cruzer. So I followed this tutorial, created the bootable usb flash drive, and tried out Chrome OS. It worked fine. However, when I was done and went to reformat the drive for normal usage, it reformatted, from FAT32 to NTFS, but I ended up with a capacity of 250MB instead of its original 8GB, and for some reason it has 23.7MB in use even though there is now NOTHING on the drive(hidden files and folders in plain view enabled). Help!

Click start > right click computer > click manage > click disk management > right click all the partitions on the flash drive, choose delete until there is only 1 partition, then right click it and choose format

I had the same problem, and finally had to use a HP program for fix mine called "Drive Key". It formats the USB back to what it is supposed to be, fixing the MBR or somesuch. Here is my copy attached (I hope!) edit: I am not allowed to upload this kind of file. sorry!
