Welcome to The Hotfix 4.0 beta!

I am pleased to announce that The Hotfix has officially driven into version 4.0 beta!

We are pleased to announce the following new features coming later this year :

• NEW theme* called 'Magnetic' default for registered members and above
• NEW forum, for exclusive members and up - Don't let your boss see
• NEW CMS* coming for the front page
• NEW Security news forum
• NEW Mac OS X and Linux forums
• PLUS many more

*Indicates uncompleted work
Also I'd like to officially welcome MikeXD to the news poster team , he will be in charge of posting security news on a regular basis.

If you have any more ideas that you believe would be a welcome change to the forums, let us know!

Dan, I've corrected the version number of this upcoming update. It will be known as The Hotfix 4.0, as we've already been at TheHotfix.net v2.0. It would be kind of weird to regress...

dave i know about the drop down box lol,

i asked because the new theme isn't in there yet

the only ones in there are the default, mobile, cleancut

just a thought, why not add an irc channel or something for the hotfix, would be a nice little addition don't you think

Oh I'd just like to add, the new theme performs best on 2D accelerated browsers such as IE9 (Beta), Firefox 4 (Beta) and Chrome 7

+1 for IRC, it can work as live support

I had an IRC channel registered at one time.

I suppose I can register one for us on the IRC network I ususally lurk on. Coldfront.

Update: Just registed a channel now actually.

I'm the only one lurking in there right now. I'll bring in my IRC bot when I finish the overhaul I'm doing on her (yes I consider my bot a girl because of her nickname).
