Hello,

I can install and activate my Windows Server 2008 R2.

My mail goal was to use the Remote Desktop (Terminal Server) but I always have an error message indication there is no Licence for TS.

How can I solve this problem ?

Thank you for your help

Hi,

I'm using a Standard edition.

I added the Remote Desktop Services role, and I can access without any problem to the computer with the a remote desktop client.

But I always have an error indicating that I must activate the TermServLicencing.

Thank you for your help

Sounds like you activated the "Terminal Services" service...

By default, Windows 2008 sets up RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) for Administration. You may have accidently set up/installed this Role. (Go to Server Manager, Add Roles, and see if it's checkmarked.)

If you've installed this role, then multiple (more than 2 connections) are allowed to this server. Provided you have a terminal server which hands out (and keeps track of) these connections.

Uninstall this role, and the Terminal Services (or RDP) will revert back to Administration mode (which limits to 2 concurrent connections).

Hello,

Thanks for your answer.

Today, I add the remote desktop service role and I validate the remote access control.

I can validate my Windows 2008 Server but I can't validate the Remote desktop server.

Do you know how I can do it ?

Thanks

I think.

I agree ...
If you need for administration only then this is enough :)
