Vista Updates Downloader toolkit is a free application that allows downloading post-SP1 Updates, Ultimate Extras, Language packs and other Update Packs.
This free program provides several other features over default Vista Updater such as save updates files for future use or modify these updates files as per their requirement and provision for downloading Vista extras and other add-ons. More at Jkwebtalks.

@Alexaj,
I have now used this tool to make a backup of all the security updates. I can use them whenever i do a factory reset.
