installing a new cd drive.. a womans way!

this might be a stupid question but i dont want to do it if i cant re-install the drivers for it.

This has really confused me. my pc woudlnt boot with the other cd drive plugged into it, so i realised i had to unplug it (eventually!)
whats happened hope u can help.
Also can i install xp on to a pc with a 110w processor? what other info do u guys need?

You need to make sure the cd drives jumpers are set for the one on the end of the wire to MS (master) and the one on the middle of the wire to SL (slave) then both will work
If there is only 1 cdrom in the pc make sure the jumpers are set to MS (master) its a little connector on the end of the cdrom near the cables
110w is the power output, that will be fine , minimum CPU is 230Mhz and 64Mb ram for XP
